Pun Hlaing Hospital, Myanmar Permitted for Covid-19 Testing and Treatment

Covid-19 testing and treatment was handled by the Government since its outbreak in Myanmar. The Government has recently allowed Pun Hlaing Hospital in Yangon to start Covid-19 testing and treatment since December 24, 2020.
Pun Hlaing Hospital in Yangon is the only Joint Commission International (JCI, USA) accredited hospital which has the International Gold Standard Award for quality of care and patient safety. The hospital is managing cases in accordance with MOHS guidelines with separate designated building for Covid-19 related tests and treatment.
Tests are mainly being done for domestic flight travellers, persons in contact with Covid-19 positive patient, persons showing Covid-19 symptoms and persons who have been instructed for testing under specialist recommendation.
