Cross-Border Assistance Services

While we always try to get the nearest and best healthcare treatment for our patients, there are still particular specialties that are missing or non-existent in Laos. Such situations require looking for healthcare solutions across borders.

During the pandemic, Laos Assistance received multiple Air Ambulance evacuation cases from Laos to Malaysia, UK, and Thailand. The attached picture depicts our land border transfer case from Vientiane to Udon Thani, Thailand illustrating the Thai hospital team taking over our patient at the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge. 

This pandemic has highlighted the progress made by the Laos healthcare system since the start of our Medical Assistance operations in Laos in 2015.
