Visa on Arrival and No Quarantine for the Vaccinated: Nepal Tourism Update

In a bid to promote tourism, Nepal has started issuing visas on arrival and revoked mandatory quarantine for fully vaccinated travelers. Visa on arrival is also applicable to tourists entering Nepal from land routes. According to the Immigration Department of Nepal, travelers can proceed directly to their planned destination if they have the vaccination certificates and a negative PCR test report from 72 hours prior to arrival. This news has been celebrated by travel and trekking agencies, the hotel industry, and the mountain flight operators which were severely hit by the Covid-19 restrictions.
Checklist before Flight:
- Vaccination Certificate
- Negative PCR report (72 hours prior validity)
- Travel Insurance with minimum US$ 5000 coverage for Covid-19
- Hotel Booking
- Covid-19 Crisis Management Center Form (www.ccmc.gov.np)
