Free Vaccines for Foreigners to be Ready Soon
A Health Ministry spokesperson has confirmed that foreigners living in Thailand should be able to register for Covid-19 vaccination via English registration platform (under development), and eligible for a walk in service – as soon as the vaccines are available. The foreigners living in Thailand that can receive vaccines for free include expats, migrant workers and others.
There are four vaccines that have been approved by the Thai Food and Drug Administration. They are the Chinese-made Sinovac, AstraZeneca which is manufactured in Thailand by Siam Bioscience, the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and the vaccine from the USA, Moderna.
For registration in the first phase – priority will be given to Thai citizens aged over 60, as well as those with underlying health conditions.
It will then be extended to those aged between 18 and 59 years old, with registration beginning from May 31.
