May 4, 2021
Mr. X, a 43-year-old man started to feel unwell while in quarantine in Vientiane, Laos. He was first sent to a nearby hospital, but his condition quickly deteriorated with Cardiac and Diabetic complications. When aware24 Laos’s team got the case notification, the patient was in ICU for 4 days already with low consciousness. We sent our doctor to the ICU to discuss the medication and started to organize the patient’s transfer to Malaysia while Thailand seemed to be taking longer to organize, as the patient was in a very critical condition. In just 12 hours, the patient landed in Kuala Lumpur. After 2 weeks of treatment in the ICU in Malaysia, the patient recovered and was discharged.
