Establishment of aware24
MOU signature for the establishment of aware24
Representatives of our 10 funding members gathered in Singapore on 26th and 27th September to officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding to form aware24, a unique consortium of local independent assistance companies in Asia.
The new organisation incorporated in Singapore, will enable clients with multiple portfolios across Asia to benefit from a single point of contact, consistent fees, a high-quality service level, and a more personalised assistance.
“We are certain that this agreement will strengthen our individual positions on our core markets, but more importantly, it will serve all of our existing and new clients as we will provide a comprehensive assistance solution that has been missing for years in this region,” said Alexandre Besson, Managing Director of Feti’a assistance and elected Chairman of the consortium.
The group brings together the most experienced assistance providers in their respective countries: Assist International Services (Thailand), Global MediCall Assistance (Malaysia), Korea Assistance (South Korea), Medika Plaza (Indonesia), MKIN Assistance (Cambodia), Myanmar Assistance (Myanmar), Nepal Rescue & Medical Assistance (Nepal), Ulink Assist (Singapore), Union International Assistance (Taiwan) and Vientiane Emergency Medical Assistance Services Sourcing (Laos).
This new initiative is expected to provide clients a one-entry point into all of Asia, faster response time, and ease the contracting process, in addition to deploying clever cost containment solutions for its members.
Asia’s tourism sector is growing rapidly, with an estimated 6% annual growth over the next five years. In order to meet future demand, the assistance industry requires an integrated approach to deliver full services cross-borders – a request that the new consortium is aspiring to fulfill.
